JUST IN: APC Releases Timetable For 2026 Osun Governorship Primary

The All Progressives Congress, has announced that interested aspirants for the Osun State governorship primary would pay N50m to procure the nomination and expression of interest forms. The schedule was signed on Tuesday by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu. According to the schedule, the expression of interest form is fixed at N10m while the nomination form is pegged at N40m. Female aspirants and persons with disabilities are to obtain the expression of interest form free of charge, while youths between 25 and 40 years are entitled to a 50 percent discount on the nomination form. The timetable shows that the notice of election to the state chapter will be issued on Friday, October 3, 2025, while the update of membership register will commence on Monday, October 20, 2025, and close on Friday, October 31, 2025. Springtime Development Foundation, Osun Govt Train 500 Women In Farming, Entrepreneurship

The Springtime Development Foundation (SDF), in collaboration with the Veronica Adeleke Empowerment Initiative and the Osun State Ministry of Women Affairs, has trained about 500 women drawn from 30 local government areas of Osun State in domestic farming and entrepreneurship skills. As part of the programme, the state government also provided financial support, giving each beneficiary a grant of N50,000. The empowerment exercise, which took place on Thursday at the Springtime Foundation headquarters in Ede, was designed to teach women practical ways to engage in farming within their home compounds. OSUN JUSUN Embarks on Strike Action over Unpaid Entitlement

The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN, Osun State chapter has commenced the resumption of suspended strike action. This is as the union directed all its members statewide to withdraw their services and refrain from reporting to work immediately. The notice of the strike action was contained in a statement signed by the Osun JUSUN chairman, Comrade Idris Adedayo on Friday in Osogbo. Adedayo in the statement disclosed that the resumption of the earlier suspended industrial action became inevitable after the expiration of a three day ultimatum earlier issued on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. The State Government also placed a ban on graduation ceremonies for nursery and kindergarten pupils across public and private schools in the state. The move, according to the government, is aimed at reducing financial burdens on parents and guardians, and to ensure uniformity and stability in learning materials across schools. The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Osun State Branch, has decried what it described as worsening neglect of judiciary workers’ welfare in the state, warning that a suspended strike may be resumed if urgent steps are not taken. In a statement signed by its chairman, Comrade Idris Adedayo Adeniran, and made available to journalists in Osogbo on Wednesday, the union accused the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) and the state government of failing to address long-standing issues affecting staff morale and productivity.
