Minimum Wage: Osun Retirees beg Adeleke to implement National Industrial Court's judgement  By Opeyemi Akinyemi  The Concerned forum of 2011/2012 retired public servant in osun state has implored governor Ademola Adeleke to implement the judgement of National Industrial Court Of Nigeria on 18,000 naira minimum wage delivered in October, 2017. This was disclosed at a press conference addressed by the chairman of the forum, Omoniyi Ilesanmi at the Broadcast journalists office, osogbo, Osun state capital. Addressing journalists, Ilesanmi said, the N18,000.00 minimum wage came into effect on 1st March, 2011 when they were still active in the service. Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has presented free health insurance cards to no fewer than 10,000 people living with disabilities in the state. Adeleke also distributed life-support gadgets and state-of-the-art medical aids to the PWDs, saying the equipment will make existence more meaningful for them. The gadgets included thousands of wheelchairs (manual and automated), crutches, walking sticks, talking watches, artificial limbs, hearing aids, ultraviolet umbrellas, cream and glasses – for albinos – and many more other gadgets. Speaking at the presentation and distribution of the items in Osogbo on Tuesday, Governor Adeleke said some of the people with disabilities will also undergo free surgical procedures to cure their ailments. Osun Governor, Ademola Adeleke to Deliver State Broadcast Wednesday. By Opeyemi Akinyemi  Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke is set to address the people of the state tomorrow Wednesday December 27, 2024, as part of activities to mark the celebration of his two years in office. The state broadcast will be held by 7:00am. All state radio and television stations are enjoined to join the broadcast. In a statement signed by the Spokesperson to the Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed. Governor Adeleke will use the broadcast to speak on his stewardship, governance advances and challenges in the last two years. Meanwhile, the state Governor is also scheduled to host a special, expanded town hall meeting on Wednesday at Aurora event centre, Osogbo, the state capital to further discussions on his stewardship with the people. According to a release signed on Tuesday by Omoyemi Badru, Press Secretary to OSSIEC Chairman, the categories of adhoc staff to be recruited are Returning Officers, Supervisory Presiding Officers, Presiding Officers, Poll Clerks and Poll Orderlies.
