The District Superintendent of the Apostolic Faith Church in West and Central Africa (WECA), Rev Isaac Adigun, has said  Nigeria can still find its way out of the current climate of insecurity, if the nation turns sincerely to God in prayer. Speaking during a special National Prayer Service held across all Apostolic Faith Church branches in Nigeria on Sunday, Rev Adigun declared that the country’s challenges, though overwhelming, are not beyond divine intervention. “There is hope for Nigeria if we go to God in prayers,” he told the congregation, his voice measured but firm, as worshippers gathered in solemn expectation. The initiative, held at the Government House in  Osogbo, the state capital is part of the ongoing efforts of her foundation to support the well-being of less privileged and vulnerable citizens across the state. The empowerment program brought together groups of persons with disabilities and vulnerable citizens across the state. Senator Oyewumi Completes 20-Year Ikire Town Hall Project

Residents of Ikire in Irewole Local Government Area of Osun State were full of excitement on Friday as Senator representing Osun West Senatorial District, Akogun (Dr.) Olalere Kamorudeen Oyewumi, officially completed and launched the long awaited Ikire Town Hall 20 years after the project was first flagged off. The celebration was held at the Town hall premises on Friday, in Ikire Town. Speaking during the commissioning, Senator Oyewumi disclosed that the project was originally flagged off in 2005 when he served as chairman of the local government.  He noted that despite consistent community contributions over the years, rising construction costs affected progress, leaving the building at about 50 percent completion for nearly two decades. The Nigeria President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the immediate withdrawal of police officers attached to Very Important Persons (VIPs) across the country, ordering their redeployment to core policing responsibilities amid rising security challenges. ‎This is contained in a statement by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga. ‎The directive, issued during a high-level security meeting held on Sunday in Abuja, mandates that police personnel currently assigned to VIP protection be reassigned to strengthen security presence in communities, particularly in remote areas where police numbers remain critically low. ‎According to the President, VIPs requiring security escorts going forward will obtain such services from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), whose operatives will provide armed protection on request. ‎The decision comes amid growing concerns over the shortage of police personnel in many parts of the country, a situation the...
