Osun judicial CRISIS : judicial workers Extols Governor Adeleke for Quick intervention, payment of withheld salaries
The crisis between the Chief Judge of Osun State, Justice Oyebola Adepele Ojo and JUSUN escalated few weeks back when the union accused her of high-handedness, indiscriminate suspension of workers and non-payment of wardrobe allowances leading to indefinite strike.
Following the quick intervention of the state government with the payment of 57 month arrears of five suspended members of the JUSUN, the Union are here to say thank you to the office of the governor.
The deputy governor, Prince Kola Adewusi who spoke on behalf of the governor appreciated the effort of the leaders of the union in fighting for their rights.
Earlier the Union visited the speaker of the house, Hon. Adewale Egbedun where the speaker assured them that the house looked painstakingly into the allegations against the chief judge before making some recommendations to the executive arm of the state.
Recommended that the state government should henceforth stop the payment of 4million naira security cost to the state High Court.
This is pending the conclusion of investigation of the National Judiciary Council on the state chief judge, Justice Oyebola Adepele Ojo
The state chairman of JUSUN, Gbenga Eludire who brought along with the 5 members alleged to have been victimized said the state government has restored joy to their lives by listening to their yearnings.
He however explained that their strike continues until all their demands are meet clarifying that national body of JUSUN is in support of their strike
