A renowned religious leader and gospel singer, Evangelist John Kola Idowu has urged Nigerians to shun religious discrimination and pray for political leaders, asking God to direct the affairs of the country.
This was echoed at a press conference held in osogbo, osun state capital ahead the dedication of songs of psalms 1-150 in the Holy Bible translated into Hausa and Igbo.
Addressing journalists, Evangelist John Kola-Idowu, says the motive is to remind christian faithful communities to seek spiritual guidance, power of prayer and to intercede for Nigerians love, unity and progress in the midst of economic hardship and security threat.
"Evangelist John Kola-Idowu is set to dedicate Psalms 1-150 in Hausa and Igbo languages, aiming to promote love and unity, and to serve as a source of inspiration and spiritual nourishment for Christians in Nigeria and beyond.
"The dedication event is expected to feature live performances, guest artists, heartfelt testimonials, and reflections on the significance of the Psalms in the lives of believers.
"We are passing through a phase in Nigeria, but I can assure you that the nation will be great, what we are facing today is part of distractions, to distract most of the youths from realizing and fulfilling God’s given purpose.
"If you look at Nigeria, we are the only Africa country where its men and women are highly placed. We are strategically placed in high organizations globally.
"I believe that even looking at our entertainment industry we have great impact, if you look at nollywood we have taken over Netflix. Our contents are everywhere.
"This Orin Dafidi is a global movement which we will take round the world.
"I believe that if our leader have the fear of God, they will do more for Nigerians. This will give them access to wisdom for a system that works. Evangelist John Kola Idowu said.
"Most of our leaders have gone round the world and they see development, why can’t they come home to duplicate same in Nigeria.
"We are going through a process in Nigeria and I know that everything will fall in place. I want to implore the youth to remain focus and painstaking, all this get rich syndrome should be kicked against.
"I have seen youths who are on the path of purpose and years later they are great while others who lazy around end up been a pauper years later.
"Youths must not allow distraction including political, japa, get money quick and other social vices to determine the outcome of their life. Relocation abroad is not synonymous to success but when you have a purpose then you are on the path of success.
"In Nigeria you have the opportunity to grow and become more successful rather than going abroad struggling to survive which in a long run will make them desperate. Evangelist John Kola Idowu said.
