INISHA CENTRAL MOSQUE CRISIS: OSUN STATE GOVERNMENT END LEADERSHIP CRISIS
Osun government has prevailed over a 4year crisis on the succession to the post of the chief Imam of Inisha central mosque in Odo Otin local government area of Osun state.
The Osun state Commissioner for Home Affairs, Rasheed Aderibigbe at a resolution meeting with stakeholders in Osogbo announced Akeem Mohammed Jamiu as the substantive Imam of the mosque
The crisis on who becomes the imam of Inisha central mosque started between two groups in 2020.
The tussle despite being waded on by the immediate administration and League of Imams and Alfas in Osun state could not be resolved as it led to a court case leading to the closure of the central mosque since 2021.
Worried about the situation, Governor Adeleke constituted a Committee to find lasting solution.
After Consultations with the two groups, Olunisa of Inisha and other stakeholders, the state government has take its stand
Stakeholders and the new Imam of Inisha central Mosque Akeem called for calm in the interest of Islam.
The Imam is expected to lead the coming Jumat prayer this Friday
