OSUN OLAIYA FLYOVER LACKS NO TECHNICAL FAULT - APC.

Osun state chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC has alleged People's Democratic Party led Governor Ademola Adeleke's administration, of weaving up political sentiments to discredit legacies of his predecessor, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola.

The party disclosed this at a press conference addressed in Osogbo, the state capital in reaction to a press statement by the current government directing the ministry of works and infrastructure to ban articulated vehicles from plying Olaiya flyover in Osogbo.

Addressing the press conference, the chieftains and leaders of the party insisted that the flyover was constructed with quality materials that can never be faulted anywhere in the world, noting that it remains one of the best legacies bequeathed to the state by any previous government since the creation of the state.

Former Commissioner for Works and Transport, Remi Omowaiye, explained that the bridge was constructed in line with international best standard as he challenged the government and any professional body to come up with technical proof to fault the infrastructure.

Meanwhile, while responding to the allegations, governor's spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, said in a statement, that the decision was reached following resolution of the State Security Council over safety issue occasioned by recent influx of heavy duty trucks on Osun roads due to road closure along Ibadan-Ogbomoso axiz.
