Speaker Egbedun Calls for Unity among Security Agencies in Osun State

The Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, has called for increased caution and collaboration among security agencies in the state.

Following a viral video circulating on social media about a physical altercation between personnel from the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps at an estate in Abeere.

Speaker Egbedun expressed deep concern over the incident, stating, "It is unfortunate and disheartening to witness a conflict between two sister agencies."

He said, "Our security personnel are dedicated to protecting our state, and such confrontations undermine their efforts."

"I urge the leadership of both agencies to intervene and foster a spirit of cooperation."

He reassured citizens of the government's commitment to enhancing security measures and providing ongoing support to law enforcement agencies, ensuring they can deliver optimal service to the community.
