Springtime Development Foundation Offers Free Medical Outreach to 3000 Osun Residents
A non-governmental organization, Springtime Development Foundation in collaboration with Global Vision Support International offered five days free medical outreach to over 3000 citizens in Osun state.
While speaking on Tuesday at the program in Ede Town hall, The Chief Executive Officer for Springtime Development Foundation, Dr Oyelabu Olakayode Samuel explained that, this is not the first time the Foundation will be offering initiative like this to citizens.
He, also urged all beneficiaries to take all advises and medicine given to them by the Doctors, while adding that, Springtime Foundation have the intention of extending the same gesture to other nearby towns in the nearest future.
He said, "This is the second day this time and this is the second time this year and it has been for years like that, before I joined the Springtime Development Foundation in 2017 so that's quite some years.
"My advise for the beneficiaries is that they should use their drugs, take to the advice given them by the medical practitioners and keep fit always. We have plans to extend this gesture beyond Ede, at times we go to Sekona which is a broader city around here but it depends on the time and the planning we are not limited to Ede." He stated.
Dr Samuel however commended the efforts of the founder of the Foundation, Dr. Deji Adeleke, who founded and funded the whole program.
"Dr Adedeji Adeleke is the sole Funder he's the one founding the foundation no support from any other person. Dr Deji is a blessing to humanity, what we do in Springtime Development Foundation which he started and he's funding and will continue to fund as long as the Lord gives him breath.
"We do health outreach as you are seeing and we help people, the people you are seeing here their cases are not ending here some will be referred and it will still be sponsored by Springtime Development Foundation. Many people have gone to India on health ground and we do empowerment even beautification of the state, we are now planting trees here and there, which he is the one funding it, and not the state government, so we pray God will grant him long life in good health and sustained prosperity." He prayed.
In an interview with newsmen, The Leader of Global Vision International Support Foundation, Mr John Obafemi Sotusa emphasized that the foundation has been addressing different health challenges for both young and adults.
"We are here to support Springtime Development Foundation to do this great work. We are addressing both medical and surgical challenges from hypertension to arthritis to non- sleeping to body pain from malaria,
anxiety, all this we are taking care of by God's grace. And for the surgery those who have fibroid, those who have hernia, of course those who have cataracts so all this we're doing.
"Apart from that a lot of people have visual problem especially students we are helping them with the corrective glasses because when they begin to read very well they begin to do well in school and that goes a long way this is very very important.
"Yesterday we had over 300, today the number we are seeing is about 500 the goal is that before the end of the week we should do 3000, I think that is that is good." He disclosed.
Dr Sotusa, continued by noting that there has been challenges but the team were able to solve them. "Challenges, by God the challenges have been solved all those that are coming, the Lord has been helping us, the cases that cannot be handled here they have been referred and a lot of them have been supported, from goitre, to those who spinal surgery, heart surgery Springtime
Development Foundation have been spearheading all the challenges.
"Beneficiaries cooperation have been excellent, the people have been very wonderful you can see they are very orderly and they are cooperating they've been wonderful." He said
One of the beneficiaries who spoke with our correspondent, Mrs Olaju Tejuola stated that she has been gaining from the program since last two years.
"I've been enjoying this program for the last two years and I'm happy they are doing well, perfectly well. We thank Dr Deji Adeleke, we want more of this if you can pricisely bring Doctors that can help us exactly for eyes check up, we need Doctors that can go deep in eyes check up. Thank you very much " she added.
Comrade Kehinde Adeosun, who is also among the beneficiaries explained that he heard about the medical outreach and decided to attend.
"I heard about it somewhere and I came, may God bless the founder, im TV grateful. I used to face health challenges as a retired officer, if not for the present Governor who has also provided free medical outreach for citizens.
"Before the arrival of Adeleke's family, so many retirees have died due to health challenges, I so much appreciate Dr Deji and Governor Adeleke,may God bless the Family" he added
