YULETIDE: FADEYEMI FOUNDATION DISTRIBUTES FOOD ITEMS, GIFTS TO WIDOWS, ORPHANS IN OSUN.

Government and privileged Nigerians have been implored to imbibe virtues of generosity in putting smiles on the faces of the vulnerable in the society, particularly, widows to ameliorate their challenges amidst current economic hardship.

This was reverberated at the women empowerment program organized by a Non governmental organization, Fadeyemi Foundation held at the Redeemed Christian Church of God Fountain of Joy Parish in Ede, Osun State.

The convener, Mrs Fadekemi Adelowo and other speakers emphasised that empowerment for aged, widows who are usually the most vulnerable during economic crises should not be left in the hands of government and public office holders only.

They called on wealthy citizens to commit themselves to providing palliatives that will cushion effects of economic hardship of the masses particularly at this festive period and as complement to government's efforts.

Widows numbering sixty 60 were provided with food items and financial empowerment.

"Today in a heartwarming display of kindness and generosity we gathered here to show love and appreciation for the blessings we have received and to give back to those in need".

"As a Foundation our mission is to empower and uplift vulnerable to achieve self sufficiency and dignity with support from donors, volunteers and wealthy Nigerians the also foundation aimed to make a positive impacts in the lives of the masses.

The event featured free medical checkup, provision of medications for the beneficiaries as well as presentation of food items, gifts which includes clothing, shoes, bags to the widows and orphans.
