ASSAULTED LAGOS NURSERY SCHOOL BOY GRTS SCHOLARSHIP TO UNIVERSITY LEVEL

The boy who was smacked repeatedly by his female teacher for his inability to write numeracy after several attempts
as captured in viral video, haa been awarded an education scholarship up to the university level .
Tops-news channels gathered that the scholarship is not coming from the state or federal government but from a privately owned real estate firm based in lagos.
In addition to the scholarship, the pupil gets a two bedroom flat for his family and one million naira to take care of immediate needs.
Tops-news channels learnt that the boy's mother is a widow and a cleaner in the same school where the assault took place
The Lagos State Police Command had arraigned Stella Nwadigbo, a 45-year-old woman, on charges of indecent treatment and assault of a child.
Nwadigbo was brought before the Lagos State Chief Magistrate Court in Ogba following the circulation of a disturbing viral video showing her abusing a three-year-old pupil at a primary school in Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
The suspect, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges. She has since been granted bail.
The Lagos State Government has also invoked the Child Rights Act and the Lagos State Policy on Safeguarding and Child Protection against Stella Nwadigbo for the indecent treatment of one of her pupils, Master Abayomi Michael.
