Bowen University Suspends Examination over Student's death.

Management of a privately owned Institution in Osun State, Bowen University has announced the death of one of its students in a suspected attack.

The deceased, a student of the college of management and Social Sciences of the Institution died on Wednesday night.

In a statement by the Registrar of the University, "the student was seen running towards the staff quarters where he suddenly collapsed and hit his head against the pavement, and was immediately rushed to the University Hospital".

"The statement notes that the closer inspection of the student shows that he had sustained wound in his abdominal region prior to the fall, while bruises were also seen around his neck, indicative of a struggle or defence wounds".

Family of the deceased has been contacted while the matter has also been reported to the Police, who have immediately swung into action to uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.

Meanwhile, the University has suspended the ongoing examinations till Monday 27th of January, 2025.
