HON. OLAWALE AKERELE DENIES ATTACK ON APC MEMBERS, CONDEMNS VIOLENCE

The Chief Whip of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Olawale Akerele, has categorically denied allegations that he attacked APC members. Instead, he condemned the brutal attack on PDP members by APC thugs in Ilesa.

According to Hon. Akerele, the attackers, led by Engr. Remi Omowaiye and Tobi Famurewa, unleashed terror on innocent PDP members at the Ilesa West  on February 17, 2025. Several citizens were severely injured, including Hon. Kasali Adebayo, Hon. Tunde Eje, and an innocent bread vendor.

Hon. Akerele described the attack as a direct assault on democracy and an attempt to incite chaos in Osun State. He demanded that the Nigerian Police immediately inviteand investigate Engr. Remi Omowaiye and Tobi Famurewa in order to unravel and bring to justice the perpetrators of the sinister attack.

The lawmaker urged citizens to disregard false claims by Taiwo Olaore and treat them as mere propaganda. He also called on security agencies to invite Taiwo Olaore for questioning to substantiate his claims.

Hon. Akerele reaffirmed his commitment to peace, tranquility, and good governance for his constituents.
