OSUN LG ELECTION: PDP MEMBERS WHO SUSTAINED GUNSHOT IN ILESA DIES, BURIED AMIDST TEARS

Some indigenes and residents of Ijesaland are in mourning moods following the death of another Member of the People's Democratic Party PDP occasioned by the recent Local Government crisis in Osun State.

Bereaved families and stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party in ilesha axis of Osun state are demanding justice for their loved ones and party members who lost their lives during the recent political crisis that erupted over local government leadership in the state.

The Party member, Kasali Adebayo who died less than 24 hours after the first victim, Ismail Ibrahim was laid to rest succumbed to a gunshot injury sustained in Ilesa during the political violence that erupted on February 16th over the local government crisis in Osun State.

He was reportedly shot in the head, rushed to OAU Teaching Hospital in Ile-Ife, but did not survive, even after surgery.

The deceased was buried at his residential home in Ilaje street, Ilesa, Ilesa west local government.

Family members, friends, associates, residents of ilesa and members of the PDP both young and elderly ones were seen weeping over the loss of the deceased whom they described as a political pillar.

The family and party members claimed the perpetrators of the killings are identifiable, as they called on President Bola Hammed Tinubu and the inspector general of police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, to ensure justice is done, to serve as deterrent to others.

Other political associates, described the ugly incident not just an attack on people's Democratic party members in Ilesa west but an attack and attempt to silence PDP in Osun and Nigeria at large, appealing to the leaders of the party to take a drastic step to forestall further occurrences.

One of the victims, late lsmail lbrahim was laid to rest amidst tears on Tuesday while late Kasali Adebayo, who gave up the ghost due to failure to recover from gunshot after days, was laid to rest on Thursday.
