You're a living legend: A philanthropist like no other — Children of Osogbo-based but Ibadan-born business mogul celebrate their father, Prince (Dr.) Taliat Idowu Agbaje

An Osogbo-based but Ibadan-born business icon and Chief Executive of Star Pool Nigeria Limited, Prince (Dr.) Taliat Idowu Agbaje, popularly called "Star," has described his contribution to humanity and the growth of society as a fulfillment of God's promise.

Prince Agbaje made this statement while speaking during a surprise birthday celebration organized by his children, both at home and abroad.

The event gave the celebrant's children, wives, family, associates, and fans from far and wide the opportunity to eulogize and salute the man they described as an apostle of human development and upliftment — Alhaji Taliat Idowu Agbaje.

In his remarks, the celebrant, Chief Executive of Star Pool Company Osogbo, Prince (Dr.) Taliat Idowu Agbaje, stated that he never saw the celebration coming, noting that he had no prior knowledge of it.

According to him, in the journey of life, God has been faithful and kind to him — a feat he attributed to the successes he has achieved over time.

He explained that God alone has consistently worked through his life and that he enjoys God's mercy in all spheres of his endeavors.

In his words of appreciation on behalf of the children and organizers, one of the sons of the sexagenarian, Barrister Opeyemi Ahmed, explained that the children deemed it a duty and responsibility to ensure that the surprise birthday celebration came to be.

He said the countless acts of support and organic love their father has provided them, from infancy to adulthood, compelled them to appreciate and celebrate their father in this way.

Barrister Opeyemi maintained that their father deserves nothing but prayers and appreciation, and he prayed for Almighty God to bless him with many more resounding and prosperous years.

Highlights of the event included remarks from attendees, the cutting of a symbolic cake, and the presentation of gifts courtesy of the children.
