BREAKING: OSUN GOVT ISSUES DIRECTIVE ON TEXTBOOK USAGE IN PRIVATE SCHOOLS, BAN GRADUATION CEREMONIES OPEYEMI AKINYEMI, OSOGBO The Osun State Government has issued a directive to all proprietors and proprietress of faith-based and private schools to approve and maintain a consistent list of textbooks to be used by pupils and students for three consecutive academic sessions. The State Government also placed a ban on graduation ceremonies for nursery and kindergarten pupils across public and private schools in the state. The move, according to the government, is aimed at reducing financial burdens on parents and guardians, and to ensure uniformity and stability in learning materials across schools. Justice Oyebola Adepele Ojo, led a high-powered delegation to the Medium Security Custodial Centres in Ilesa and Ile-Ife on Tuesday, 24th June, 2025, and Wednesday, 25th June, 2025, respectively. The delegation included esteemed members of the Judiciary, Ministry of Justice, Men of the bar, Prosecutors, Legal Aid Council, National Human Rights Commission, and other stakeholders.
