Osun Chief Judge, Adepele Ojo Sworn-In Great Ife Global President, Barr. Falode as a Notary Public

GLOBAL PRESIDENT, GREAT IFE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION IS SWORN IN AS A NOTARY PUBLIC BY OSUN STATE CHIEF JUDGE

The Global President, Great Ife Alumni Association; Barr. L.B Falode was today elevated to the enviable position of Notary Public by the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

He was sworn in by the Hon.Chief Judge of Osun State, Hon. Justice Oyebola Adepele Ojo, alongside eleven (11) other lawyers across the five (5) NBA branches in Osun State at the Osun State High Court premises in Osogbo, Osun State.

Bar. Leye Falode, served as  Chairman of the Osun State Rent Tribunal between June 2013 to October, 2017 sitting both at Ilesa and Osogbo Rent Tribunals. 

He was appointed as a member of the Osun State Judicial Commission of Inquiry into Disputed Chieftaincy Declarations and Other Allied Chieftaincy Matters set up by the  Osun State Government in July, 2016  under the Chairmanship of Hon. Justice A.B Abdulkareem. 

The  Chief Judge of Osun State, Hon. Justice Adepele Ojo in her speech, admonished the newly appointed Notary Public Officers to live aboard board in the discharge of their duties.

She further enjoined them to be more diligent in the performance of their statutory responsilities as contained in the Notary Public Act. 2023.

She further informed them that they were carefully screened and selected by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, reminding them that their functions and responsibilities transcends the borders of Nigeria as they will be expected to, among other things to; authenticate, verify and certify legal documents that are internationally recognised as legal documents.

Also present at the event was the Chief Registrar of the High Court of Justice Osun State, Mr. Francis  Ishola  Omisade.
