OSHA Deputy Majority Leader Hon. Adekunle Oladimeji Predicts Victory for Gov. Adeleke
The Osun State House of Assembly Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Adekunle Oladimeji, has expressed confidence in the victory of Governor Ademola Adeleke in the August 15 governorship election.
Hon. Oladimeji stated that Governor Adeleke’s victory is of immense importance to the people of the Irepodun/Orolu State Constituency.
He made this known while reacting to reports that some individuals have been moving across the constituency collecting signatures in support of a candidate from another political platform.
According to him, the development is unlawful and a gross violation of democratic principles, warning that anyone caught engaging in such acts would face the full wrath of the law. He emphasized that the Constitution does not empower anyone to carry out such undemocratic practices.
Hon. Oladimeji urged the people of the Irepodun/Orolu State Constituency to remain vigilant and promptly report anyone requesting their signatures to the appropriate authorities.
The Deputy Majority Leader of the 8th Assembly also warned politicians against campaigning contrary to the position of the party leadership in Irepodun/Orolu stating that the administration of party affairs is solely the responsibility of its leaders, who deserve due respect. He added that party supremacy remains valid at all times.
He further advised those allegedly involved in activities that undermine party decisions to desist from such unproductive actions, noting that such behavior only sows seeds of discord within the party.
Hon. Oladimeji also condemned any attempt to engage in campaigns of calumny or actions capable of causing chaos or unrest under the guise of politics, warning that such acts would be decisively dealt with.
He therefore called on party faithful across the Irepodun/Orolu State Constituency, as well as supporters of Governor Ademola Adeleke to continue mobilizing massive support for the governor’s re-election, noting that his administration has demonstrated capacity, capability and exceptional transformation across various sectors.
