OSHA Deputy Majority Leader Hon. Oladimeji frowns over Governor Adeleke's re-election billboards destruction in Osogbo, environs
The Deputy Majority Leader of the Osun State House of Assembly and Chairman of the House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Hon. Adekunle Oladimeji, has condemned the destruction of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election campaign billboards.
While inspecting some of the locations where the vandalised billboards were erected in Osogbo and its environs, Hon. Oladimeji described the act as outrageous and uncivil.
He stated that no amount of destruction of Governor Adeleke’s re-election campaign billboards or campaigns of calumny would be enough to alter the determination and resolve of the people of Osun State to re-elect Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Hon. Oladimeji therefore called on security operatives to intervene in the matter and ensure that necessary measures are put in place to prevent further occurrences of such acts. He particularly urged them to adopt stringent enforcement strategies to de-escalate any potential consequences arising from the situation.
He also appealed to supporters and admirers of Governor Ademola Adeleke especially the electorate in Osun State to remain law abiding and refrain from taking the law into their own hands, stressing that nobody is above the law.
According to him, the destruction of the billboards is a strong sign and clear indication of the overwhelming public acceptance of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s impending re-election victory.
