Ekiti Decides 2026: INEC Declares APC's Oyebanji Winner with 319,224 Votes (SEE RESULTS)

 

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the 2026 Ekiti State governorship election. Oyebanji secured 319,224 votes to defeat his closest rivals and earn a second term in office.

According to the final results announced by the Returning Officer, Adenike Oladiji, the candidates polled as follows:

APC – Biodun Oyebanji: 319,224 votes

PDP – Olumayokun Oluyede: 40,533 votes

ADC – Dare Bejide: 12,872 votes

Declaring the result in the early hours of Sunday at the INEC headquarters in Ado-Ekiti, the Returning Officer stated that Oyebanji had satisfied the requirements of the law and was therefore duly elected and re-elected as Governor of Ekiti State.

The election recorded 384,940 accredited voters out of 988,251 registered voters, while 382,109 votes were cast, with 375,777 valid votes.
