Just In: Fire Engulfs Building in Osogbo

A fire outbreak has reportedly engulfed a building in Osogbo, Osun State Capital, causing panic among residents in the area.

According to eyewitnesses and videos circulating on social media, made available to Topsnewstimes, the fire reportedly started unexpectedly in a building in Osogbo and quickly spread through parts of the structure before emergency responders and residents attempted to contain the situation.

The exact cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed at the time of reporting, and details on the extent of damage remain unclear.

It was gathered that two filling stations are located very close to the scene of the incident, raising fears that the situation could escalate if the fire reaches either of the facilities.

Motorists and other road users are advised to use alternative routes to ease the movement of fire service vehicles and other emergency responders deployed to the area.

Topsnewstimes, gathered that more than two hours after the outbreak, the fire was still burning despite ongoing efforts by personnel of the Federal Fire Service, Osun State Fire Service, and other emergency agencies.

No casualties had been officially confirmed as of press time, while the extent of the damage caused by the incident remained unclear.
