‎Pastor Pade Okunola Launches Food Support Initiative for 1,000 plus of Modakeke Residents, Backs Adeleke's Re-election

‎The 2018 Accord Party governorship candidate in Osun State, Pastor Pade Okunola, a proud son of the late Chief Balogun of Modakeke and Bada of Osogbo Land, Pa John Adeboye Okunola has declared that the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke is essential to sustaining and expanding human development across Osun State.

‎Pastor Okunola made the declaration in Modakeke Ife East Local Government Area of Osun State during the launch of his Imole Unit-by-Unit Food Support Initiative, through which food items were distributed to more than 1,000 residents and vulnerable members of the community.
‎
‎The empowerment programme, tagged the Pastor Pade Okunola Imole Unit-by-Unit Food Support Initiative was designed to provide support for every Accord households in Modakeke. 
‎
‎According to Pastor Okunola, his passion for and unwavering commitment to human development inspired his transition into active politics. He noted that the remarkable pace of development across Osun State under the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke further motivated him to launch the food support initiative as a way of complementing the government's people-oriented programmes.
‎
‎He urged the people of Modakeke to come out in large numbers during the forthcoming governorship election and vote for Governor Adeleke's second-term bid. He assured voters that every legitimate vote would count and encouraged them to participate peacefully without fear or intimidation.
‎
‎Pastor Okunola also emphasized the importance of collecting their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and mobilizing widespread support for Governor Adeleke at the polls.
‎
‎Speaking with journalists at the event, the Osun State Commissioner for Transportation, Olusesan Oyedele, commended Pastor Pade Okunola for initiating the Imole Unit-by-Unit Food Support Initiative. He appealed to the electorate in Modakeke and across Osun State to support the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke, describing him as a leader who has delivered the dividends of democracy to communities across the state.

‎Beneficiaries of the programme expressed appreciation to Pastor Okunola for the timely intervention and pledged their support for Governor Ademola Adeleke's re-election.
‎
‎The highlight of the event was the unit-by-unit distribution of food items to beneficiaries across Modakeke, underscoring the grassroots focus and community-driven nature of the initiative.

NYSC Shifts Orientation Date For Osun, Enugu

The National Youth Service Corps has announced a change in the orientation schedule for prospective corps members deployed to Enugu and Osun states for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II exercise. This was contained in a statement issued on Monday by the NYSC Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu. The scheme said the orientation course for the two states will now commence on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and end on Monday, May 18, 2026. NYSC said, “This slight adjustment is due to the ongoing extensive renovation of the Camps by the State Governments which has necessitated the date change. “For the avoidance of doubt, the Orientation Exercise for all other states and the FCT is scheduled to be held from Wednesday, April 22, 2026, to Tuesday, May 12, 2026. It urged affected prospective corps members to take note of the revised dates and comply accordingly.
