A disturbing incident of uncultured police brutality occurred on Tuesday, 22nd of October this year in the morning at Elizabeth Estate in Osogbo, Osun State capital. A group of individuals claiming to be police officers in Ankara clothes with jacket drove into the estate with a private sienna vehicle, which was secured by the personnel of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, over purportedly arrest a suspect.  In a statement issued by the, CDPRO, ASC Kehinde Adeleke, the NSCDC Personnel on duty requested for means of identification which the policemen failed to provide.

The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) his dissociated itself from the statement credited to one Kazeem Oyewale who claimed to be the Acting Chairman of NURTW in Osun State. Kazeem Oyewale was reported to have vowed that NURTW will vote out Osun state Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke from office in 2026.  A statement personally by the Special Advisers to the National President of NURTW and South West Older Forum Coordinator of the union, Alhaji Moshood Ajao said Kazeem Oyewale has no locus standi to speak on behalf of NURTW in Osun State. The Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, has called for increased caution and collaboration among security agencies in the state.  Following a viral video circulating on social media about a physical altercation between personnel from the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps at an estate in Abeere.  Speaker Egbedun expressed deep concern over the incident, stating, "It is unfortunate and disheartening to witness a conflict between two sister agencies." He said, "Our security personnel are dedicated to protecting our state, and such confrontations undermine their efforts." "I urge the leadership of both agencies to intervene and foster a spirit of cooperation." He reassured citizens of the government's commitment to enhancing security measures and providing ongoing support to law enforcement agencies, ensuring they can deliver optimal service to the community.

Osun State Ministry of Transportation has warned any group parading itself as the body in charge of Commercial drivers in the State to desist from such or be ready to face the full wrath of the law. The Executive Governor of Osun state, Governor Ademola Adeleke has directed the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure to ban heavy duty trucks from plying the Olaiya bridge at the state capital, citing safety reasons arising from the technical reports on the state of the bridge. The Governor made the restriction while presiding over a security council meeting at Osogbo.  He said the decision became necessary to protect the bridge from possible collapse and avoid untoward happenings with continuous passage by heavy trucks. The Osun state government has issued warning concerning the increased encroachment on lands allocated for the construction of six stadia across the three senatorial districts. The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) has chosen Osun State for its South-West Zonal Headquarters. This is based on an application by the Osun State Government before the court against the company. Ruling in favour of the State Government Justice A.A Aderibigbe, ordered against Segilola Resources Operating Limited from resuming, performing, operating her business in Osun State until all her outstanding tax (Payee) accruable from 2019-2023, and development levy payable to Osun State are fully liquidated or paid into the covers or account of Osun State Government. Democratic party says Nigerians is currently facing a series of profound challenges, and this can not be ignored. In a deliberate effort to cushion the difficult economic season in the state,Osun state PDP has received bags of rice donated to them by a member of the from Ifelodun local Government, Ibrahim Adekunle. The delivery of the bags of rice was taken at the PDP Secretariat in Osogbo in the presence of leaders of the Party from all the ten local Government that make up the Central Senatorial District.
